Later in the next few weeks (hopefully), Ella and I will be working to make a smart mirror! I'm excited to do it with her because we make a really good team and its also very interesting. We have instructions on how to make it and in what order, we also made a chart for materials, and a slide show presentation. I think this is going to be a fun experience and if it turns out to be a success, then maybe I'll make one for my house too :D

Today was the day I got to create a product using an Arduino. I made a rotating carousel with Aisha. We kept going from one idea to another and another. We decided to do the carousel because the materials that we needed were all provided on the shelves. It was really fun to make especially when you're working with a partner. At the end, I was impressed on how it looked. As shown below, we plugged the Arduino into the computer and it worked. Abian played some music on his phone to make it seem like its an actual carousel.

When I heard that I would be working at the Thinkabit Lab I was so excited. I came during the spring thinking that it was going to be dull but it was extremely fun. I learned how to program and worked with Arduinos. I was surprised that my mentor remembered me. my mentors name is Jim Egenrieder and I was really thrilled to work with him again. We introduced ourselves to our peers and guests that would often. He gave us a tour of the building and also told us that we would be working with the elderly/kids. I was delighted about the thought of working with the elderly/kids. Towards the end of the day, he gave a great idea of starting a blog to track of what we did that day. Abian suggested to take a group picture and it was a great idea. I felt relieved after the day ended and was ready to come back the next day :D
